Wing Chun Kung Fu is  a traditional Chinese Martial Art handed down through 11 generations. It has been practiced and refined over the last 400 years into one of the most practical and efficient systems to use for self defence. Wing Chun is not a martial art that relies on you being the biggest or strongest to win. In fact Wing Chun will teach you how to overcome a bigger stronger opponent,  avoiding their strength or even using their own strength against them. This is made possible by utilising footwork, sensitivity, correct structure and positioning.

Attending weekly classes in Altrincham you will soon learn the principles of Wing Chun Kung Fu, including simplicity, sensitivity, directness and not using force against force. Following these principles means that you do not need to learn an infinite number of martial art techniques to cover any eventuality. Instead you will learn a ‘set of tools’ that you can apply whilst following these principles. The more you practise the sharper your ‘tools’ will become. Regular training will also greatly improve your physical and mental health.

What you get out of Wing Chun depends on what you put in, but with regular practise you will learn to respond instinctively to situations, and you will be able to defend yourself without thinking. Study Ip Man Wing Chun at the classes in Altrincham and develop your self confidence, improve your health and learn a practical self defence skill. Due to the structure of the training, self defence ability begins to develop immediately.
